ASA12: Arts and aesthetics in a globalising world

The ASA's 2012 conference took place in India in collaboration with the Centre for the Study of Social Systems in the School of Social Sciences, and the School of Arts and Aesthetics, at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi. The conference brought together over 400 delegates from all over the world, providing an unparalleled opportunity for networking between South Asian academics and those from further afield.

On the 5th April there was a concert - in collaboration with the Goethe Institute of Delhi featuring Gustavo Aguilar on percussion and
Christopher Williams on contrabass - an intimate hour-long concert featuring solo and duo free
improvisations on percussion and contrabass.
Registration fees were £200 (non-members), £160 for members (of ASA and WCAA organisations), £100 for students, £18 (Rs1500) for South Asians living in South Asia, £0 (Rs0) for local students. A map of the conference location is available here.
