Registration
Registration opens on 13 January 2025 once the CFP is over and all panels have been timetabled.
How much are conference fees?
Conference registration fees have not yet been finalised, as prices for goods and services keep rising :-(. However, we hope to keep them within the range below:
Face-to-Face
Concession member (low income): £215
Concession non-member (low income): £235
Member: £315
Non-member: £385
Online (participating via Zoom only)
Concession member (low income): £125
Concession non-member (low income): £135
Member: £165
Non-member: £205
This fee includes an opening drinks reception, 3 lunches and 7 tea/coffee breaks, and access to all sessions and events. The conference party will be ticketed as an extra, to be booked at the time of registration. This includes an evening of music, entertainment, and food: more information and the price will be provided before Early Bird opens.
All participants - panel convenors, authors, chairs, discussants, organisers, keynotes, plenary speakers, guests, volunteers, committee members and those without any specific role - MUST register in advance of the event.
Early-bird prices will be available from 13 January 2025 to 17 March 2025. Thereafter fees will rise by £70. N.B. unregistered content will be withdrawn at the end of early-bird.
What are you paying for?
ASA prioritises the attendance of precarious scholars using the full price fees to subsidise the low-income registration fee, and also through funding travel and accommodation of many of those on low/no income.
Funding
There is a small amount for student bursaries given out as ASA funding to UK-based ASA student members only. The call will run from 17 January to 17 February 2025, application will be via online form only: we cannot accept applications or endorsements via email.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations more than three weeks before the conference (18 March) will be refunded, less a fee of £70 to cover administrative costs. Cancellations after that point will not be offered a full refund, due to costs already incurred. Refunds at that point will be discretionary.
If you are unhappy with the service you are provided as a delegate, you have the right to request a refund. Each request will be considered on its merits, and in line with The Consumer Rights Act 2015, and where appropriate a full refund will be given. Refunds should be requested by email to conference(at)theasa.org. If you receive no response to that email address, then our postal address is ASA, c/o RAI, 50 Fitzroy St, London, W1T 5BT, UK.
